Pizzazz is…Beautiful Singing! Stage Presence! Polished Performance! Pizzazz provides students who love to sing the opportunity to develop their voice and expand their musicianship through a broad spectrum of repertoire. Pizzazz incorporates singing, listening, and rhythmic movement while encouraging musical independence through classes in song & dance. Pizzazz teaches students to package beautiful singing in a bundle of showmanship and stage presence. Facial expression and performance intensity are emphasized. Pizzazz builds confidence through preparation and performance in a bi-annual musical revue. A typical performance calendar will include several community performances, choral festivals and concerts, solo recitals and contests, and a year-end musical revue.
Pizzazz prepares students for participation in the arts. Students are informed about and encouraged to participate in a variety of activities to expand their musical growth, such as community shows, civic theater, vocal contests, school choirs, and festival choirs.
Pizzazz,
under the direction of Kim Durr,
has striven to achieve these goals
since 1990. Pizzazz helps young singers find and use their talents.
